Seven handsome brothers were once so cool,

Going out hunting for some food,

They met seven evil ladies who treated them like fools,

Each brother so handsome and bold,

Took their ladies under their fold,

Sharing their love with each evil witch,

Little did they know they were being bewitched,

The brothers were changed to skin and bone,

They were once strong and very toned,

Mitai knew something was wrong,

So off to the ladies he did roam,

Up on the branches he did see,

There six fantails were waiting patiently

The last fantail flew near by,

Watched carefully by clever Mitai

There he transformed into a Kereru,

To find out what the witches were up too.

He followed the fantails to Ngongotaha,

And watched and listened to their ka-ka.

Off he ran to warn  his brothers,

To tell them all about the drama’s,

Their koro gave them a special net,

To capture the ladies just like some pests,

Mitai transformed into an albatross,

And carried them away just like a boss!

Into the heavens he decided to toss,

The evil women who caused the fuss!

And there they sit during the night

The Eyes of God, seven eyes so bright!

Don’t Judge Them By Their Cover

I agree that the big bad wolf is the victim

Everyone around me are always saying “the big bad wolf should leave the three little pigs alone, I hate that big bad wolf!”. Every word is always a bad comment. But I strongly believe the big bad wolf is the real victim and I have strong reasons to back up my point of view.

It is a well known fact that in the story the big bad wolf is chasing the 3 little pigs and thinking the bad wolf is going to eat them. However how do they know the bad wolf would want to eat them maybe he wants to be their friend?

The poor wolf is a meat eater of course people would judge him. This wolf is a lone wolf and every lonely wolf or person needs company.

Surely you already know all animals like to stick together with their own kind or pack. Maybe the big bad wolf is sick of seeing his own kind maybe he wants to meet new species. Although pigs are carnivores prey that doesn’t mean a wolf can’t be a friend.

In the book the wolf says “little pig little pigs let me in. Not by the hair of my chiny chin chin” replied the three little pigs.Then that’s why the good wolf, well in my eyes. Went huff and puff and a I’ll  blow your house down. However that blow could’ve been a sneeze and when you are outside in a nasty storm you are most likely to get sick.

I don’t want to brag but these are the most laziest pigs I’ve ever known. One pig wants to build a house full of straw and the other with sticks. These 3 pigs are the most filthy liars. They set up the wolf and ended up toasting him for lunch. Well not exactly but in my opinion. The pigs heard the wolf coming down the chimney and quickly goes one pig to light the fire or probably the oven, the cheek of them!

They haven’t even met the poor wolf and they want to kill him.

Anyways after reading my 3 points I hope you now understand that the big bad

Wolf (inferencing quietly)is a victim. So this is why you should agree with me so we can open other people’s  eyes. Remember to not judge anyone by their clothing.

My Botanical Gardens experience.

Last week Friday Amua Whare went to a beautiful place called Botanical Gardens. It was such a beautiful day at the Botanical Gardens looking at the wonderful plants. We got split into 4 groups, two groups go to planting and the other go explore the amazing plants. My group which was Mrs.Kereopa, Jacob, Isitolo, T.Y, Colsey, J.T and also Shayden.

I don’t want to brag but in my opinion my group was the best group. I learn’t a lot from Botanical Gardens like all the names of of all the different plants. I’ve seen Totara trees and Rimu trees but unfortunately we didn’t see any Pohutukawa and Kauri trees. After we explored most of Botanical Gardens we went to planting.

But before we went to planting us boys had a big share lunch. It was so delicious. After sonny did the prayer all of us straight away ate our kai. It was so hard because we had to save our kai until it was lunch time. I was so hungry but I Surprisingly made it through. There was my group running as fast as the wind finding the plant that was on the ticket. However my group should of won but we came 2nd which is ok. There was a moment where we had to sit down and listen quietly to all the amazing tui’s. It was so beautiful sitting there quietly listening to the world.

It was so cool at Botanical Gardens exploring the beautiful plants and go again but this time with my family and I know we will have a great time.
